In this episode of the Overgivers Anonymous Podcast, I want to talk to you about making sure that you have a team that not only supports you and allows you time to do what you want inside your business, but also enables you to have a life you want. It is important for you to serve the people you want to serve and to help the people that you want to help. It is important that you are focused on your own business and be able to do the things that you want to do.
Highlights:
- When you first started your business you had to do everything including the shit work.
- The truth of the matter is that you cannot do “it” faster.
- You have to get past the notion that you can do “it” faster and better than anybody else. You just can’t, there are too many things on your plate, things are falling over the edge and you do not have help to pick up the pieces.
- You need to focus on doing your circle of brilliance tasks.. These are tasks that you shine at doing. You are so good at them that they take you no time to complete and you love doing them!
- Working in your circle of brilliance helps you make sure that you are doing things that are right for you.
- You cannot make more money on your own. You’ve created your own glass ceiling by not having a team.
- A by-product of having a team is that you can have more time. Therefore more time allows you to work on your circle of brilliance and grow your business generating more value for your clients.
- When you’re moving into that “hub mode” where everybody needs to check in with you, you will slow things down by creating a bottleneck.
- You need to build a team that is able to support you while you’re on holiday the same way that you support your team members when they are on holiday. That’s the trust you need to work for.
