In this episode of The Overgivers Anonymous Podcast, we have a very cool guest, her name is Vicki Gower. We’ve known each other since high school. Vicki is always giving but she has also found a way to find a balance in there so that she’s not completely draining herself. That’s why I thought it was so important for her to join me today. There was so much value in this conversation.

 

The highlights:

  • I think part of my imbalanced balance was creating that group of women and group of people and friendships around me that supported me in my business, in the way that I saw my life moving forward.
  • The most important thing I’ve learned for business success is that the one thing you can count on is that everything will change. Nothing stays the same.
  • It’s not going to be better when it’s going to be better, because you decided you’re going to make it better
  • There’s so much power in choice and I am a firm believer in maintaining my power at all times.
  • The thing is that, as an overgiver, we want people around us to feel the benefits of their contributions.
  • A lot of times we see overgivers who literally give so much that they’re giving away all their revenue and they’re also giving away all their time so that they don’t have time to build their business.
  • A lot of people aren’t looking for something monetary or even that has a huge dollar value there, people really respond well to things that come from the heart.
  • As I get older, I recognize how my body responds to negative connotations, my body responds very differently.
  • I recognized that I deserved to have the people around me that believed in me, that supported me, that held me up without expectation in receiving something in return.
  • I always say that owning a business regardless of what kind of business it is, it is the most personal development you’ll ever do.
  • I don’t think without my experiences, without my challenges, that I would be who I am today, when I started my business, I was bitter, I was angry. I even had one of my consultants one time tell me that she didn’t like me when she first started her business with me.
  • We’re all a work in progress.

 

Vicki Gower has been a direct sales leader with Pure Romance since 2005, self-proclaimed overgiver who has found a balance that fills her heart and also serves her family and her business partners while running a Million Dollar + sales team. With 2 adult children and a crazy supportive husband, life has been filled with challenges and bends in the road that has brought them to a place of abundance simply because she detaches from the outcome and trusts the process.
