Summer vacation
This doesn’t mean take the whole summer off! Unless you have made financial plans leading up to the summer where you can pay yourself while you aren’t working, AND you have income ready to start as soon as you are off your vacation. I have noticed that a lot of entrepreneurs are consistently taking the entire summer off to hang out.
Momentum
The most important thing to your business is momentum. Have you ever tried to push a car? The hardest part is getting started! Once the car begins to move it becomes easier to keep it going. If you stop the car and then try to get it going again you are going to have to put in the same effort as you did the first time.
Consistency
Your business needs you to be consistent so that you can enjoy a steady stream of income. Your customers require you to be consistent so that they can connect with you and trust you.
Falling off the wagon
Have you ever consistently shown up in your business… began to see results and then stopped showing up? Perhaps you started to get busy and you were scared that you couldn’t handle the work that you were getting? You might have shown up consistently and not seem the results you expected.
What if I get too busy?
This is a great problem to have, and there are many ways to work through it. Some ideas that you try will work right away and others won’t. The trick is not to give up and walk away from your customers. Try new ideas, work through it with your mastermind group or hire a coach to help you solve this amazing problem.
Why aren’t my efforts working?
The important thing here is to realize that not everything is broken. The fact that you have realized the efforts that you are putting out there aren’t working is great! If you haven’t been tracking your efforts up till now go back and look at what you have been doing. How many posts are you creating. Where and when are you posting them? Now analyze those findings. Perhaps you notice better traction during specific times or on different kinds of posts. Take these results and make changes… don’t quit!
Get back up
Even if you fall off the wagon you can always get up.. dust yourself off and get back in it! Yes it is going to be harder than if you had just kept moving, or if you had never stopped in the first place. Get up anyway!
Stop stopping!
This might seem obvious at this point, but if not… let this be your kick in the ass! You can restart as many times as you want… but it is exhausting and it takes all the fun out of owning your own business!
