In this episode, we’re going to be talking about finding your business focus. There’s a lot of crazy things happening in our world. And honestly, I normally do this at the end of the year, as I’m moving into a new year, but because this year was so crazy, I literally had to start again. Did you feel like your business plan wasn’t working for you in 2020? If you are feeling like that, here are some things that are powerful for you as a business owner to think about and look at, so that you can choose which direction you want your business to head in. When you have laid the groundwork for your business, and you know what your focus is, you’re less likely to be taken off track because you know which direction you’re headed.
- Look back at last year and see what worked for you and what didn’t. What were you going to implement? Did you implement it? Did it work? Did it not work?
- If you didn’t follow through with a plan for whatever reason, Why not? What was the reason behind why it didn’t come to fruition?
- Is it something that you still want to get done this year?
- How do you want to feel about those things this year? How do you want to proceed? What are the things that you are going to bring forward? What are the things that you are going to leave behind? What is it that you’re keeping and what are you discarding?
- What do you want to feel next year as you are planning it? Do you want more time with your family? Do you want to have more joy in your week? Do you want to have more money? Are you trying to go on a trip? What is it and how do you want it to be incorporated into next year?
I encourage you to find out what your business focus is for the year, find out what it is for your quarter, know what it is you’re going to work for in your month. From there you can then plan your week, taking the actions that you need to take in order to make that month happen. When you do that, your months will turn into quarters, your quarters will turn into years, you will actually accomplish the things that you want to accomplish for your business.
