In this episode of the Overgivers Anonymous Podcast, I want to talk to you about your business planner! There is always a debate, physical planner or digital planner? Here’s the deal, I can’t live without either. In this episode, I will tell you why, and give some tips about how to use your business planner to create and track your business goals.

- When you write down your thoughts, your goals, your desires, your dreams, there’s a higher chance that that’s actually going to come to fruition.
- It’s really important to know what we’re working towards. But also what small steps can we take today in order to take us to the next step.
- Pretty planners don’t work.
- Having a plan for the year is important, so we can break it down into quarters, months, weeks, and days.
- Planning is just one piece, it’s the actions you take that actually take you to your goal.
- Your plan for your business isn’t just some overreaching, “I wish I could…” thing you put together just because everybody else does. It’s there so that you have something to measure every opportunity against.
- We write our plans in pencil. So that we can use an eraser and make the adjustment as we pivot.
- There’s always value in writing it down. But there’s also value in having it somewhere else. That’s where digital comes in.
- Google is the BOSS of the calendars
- Remind yourself that the purpose of using the planner is so that you can achieve your goals so that your dreams can come true.
When we first pick up a new planner, it’s awesome, shiny and amazing and we get super excited. We can’t wait to use all our pens, colours, and stickers, but… the shiny wears off, doesn’t it? Sometimes it’s by January 10. And sometimes it’s February, but the shiny wears off. I encourage you to push through it and make it a habit, planning, and tracking as it is so important to your business success.
