RSS
In this episode of the Overgivers Anonymous Podcast, I want to talk to you about learning how to think differently about your lack of productivity. And not just in terms of how much stuff we can get done. To me, productivity is way deeper and more important than just how much crap I can check off my list. We need to start talking about the types of things that we’re going to get done. What is the purpose behind what we’re doing? Where are we spending time? These elements are all a part of the productivity process. This is way more important to me than how many checkboxes I actually mark off as completed and how many are remaining.

Highlights:

How you feel about your work is really important.

When we are “shoulding” all over ourselves, we’re typically comparing ourselves to other people.

Don’t compare yourself with somebody who you think have better abilities than you. Only compare yourself to yourself.

Just because we “can” doesn’t mean to say we “should”.

Just because somebody else has a certain track path or trajectory does not mean that it is the right one for you.

I want you to enjoy waking up every day to what you have created for this world.

I encourage you to do at least a week if not two or three weeks’ worth of tracking.

If you are struggling with a workload where you feel like you’re constantly overwhelmed, and there’s far too much to do, I guarantee you that taking breaks will make a huge difference. Taking breaks will allow you to accomplish more during the day.

Having that break in the monotony allows me to work longer hours.

Give yourself grace.

I encourage you to think differently about “lack of productivity”. Think differently about your overwhelm. What is it that you want to have? How do you want your days to go?

You have the power to make all those changes.

To me, productivity is way deeper and more important than just how much crap I can check off my list.
