All business owners, at one time or another, feel stagnant.\u00a0 We feel like no matter what our actions are, nothing seems to be working. It is the entrepreneurial roller coaster. Pass the Gravol! There are lots of different reasons why we end up on a plateau, however nine times out of ten it is due to complacency that happens inside our business. Things are going well, we keep rocking, but we are not checking in, we are not making sure that we are still on track to where we want to go. This seems to be the cause or reason why I see business owners plateauing. This is when I see my plateaus happen as well. So if you&#8217;re stuck on a plateau, you might want to consider figuring out how to put your business first again to reach the goals you have set for yourself.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Highlights:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">When we are in that cycle of operation\/working where we just keep going and going with one foot in front of another, we lose our sense of being and have become a \u201cmode\u201d.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">When you are in that supersonic hamster wheel,\u00a0 just doing and doing, you never actually plan ahead. That&#8217;s one of the reasons why we get stuck.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You can be busy all day long writing to-do lists, getting shit done and marking stuff off. Unless these items are actually going to transport you and your business to where you want to go &#8211; then doing is just doing.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">When you&#8217;re looking at your task list, I encourage you to look at your items and decide \u201chow important is this\u201d is this assignment? If somebody else&#8217;s fire lands on your desk, is it really a fire? Is it really your responsibility? Or is it possible that their fire isn&#8217;t your fire.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Another reason why we hit a plateau is that we are busy putting out everybody else&#8217;s fires.
